The ferry port town of Gourock sits on the south bank of the Firth of Clyde, approximately 28 miles west of Glasgow. The Kempock Street area in the heart of the town has a variety of traditional shops, bars and restuarants and is Gourock's main shopping street. Gourock also has a golf club within walking distance of the property and is home to the Royal Gourock Yacht Club. There is an open-air pool which is one of only three remaining in Scotland and it is complete with a refurbished gym.

There are superb views from Gourock across the Clyde Estuary to the hills and mountains of the south-west Highlands. Visitors can enjoy walks along the Ashton Front promenade and approximately three miles west of Gourock lies Cloch Point, where there is a lighthouse that dates from circa 1797. Regular ferries run from Gourock to Dunoon, Kilcreggan and Helensburgh. A ferry service also runs from McInroy's Point on the west side of town to Hunters Quay. Gourock railway station is located at the Pierhead and provides services to Paisley and Glasgow Central, perfect for commuters while a number of local bus services connect the town to the surrounding area.

* Generally speaking Guide Prices are provided as an indication of each seller's minimum expectation, i.e. 'The Reserve'. They are not necessarily figures which a property will sell for and may change at any time prior to the auction. Virtually every property will be offered subject to a Reserve (a figure below which the Auctioneer cannot sell the property during the auction) which we expect will be set within the Guide Range or no more than 10% above a single figure Guide.
